Hello from Peru. We´re back up in the Andes (much to Liz´s relief) in Chachapoyas, a peaceful and scenic colonial place. If it seems like we have covered lots of ground since our last post, it´s all due to the, er, complementary forms of transport shown above. A couple of dodgy stomachs and a long, hot road made us do it. (We´ll be pedalling again tomorrow, honest). We did choose the remotest border crossing, with poor dirt roads either side, which slowed us, but brought some super green mountain scenery. The next destination is Celedin, for those using a highlighter or a drawing pin, in about five days. Initial impressions of Peru are again of genuine, helpful people and lots more contour lines. However the hunt for Paddington Bear continues...

Hi Liz and Stan. The blog is working really well, with excellent quality photos. I hope you have got over the badbelly! I look forward to seeing where you have got to each day - definitely more interesting than working!

Clive and Liz,
like the blog - keep it up. Great photos. No doubt you're both down to your fighting weight earlier than expected?! Bikes holding up?
Pollution Control is struggling on - MH BH's going in next week!
Query for C - apparently you have a stud order ready for collection! Let me know and I'll sort it
Keep spinning

Hi L & C
Oh it looks fantastic. Is there any point in me saying "hope you're having a nice time"? I absolutely love the blog - so up with blogs and down with postcards. The fact that you mentioned Paddington Bear is very topical at the mo as he's been in the paper. Marmite are using him as part of their new marketing campaign and so he has moved on from the world of marmalade to the dark side that is marmite! And I aint joking.
Not a lot happening here. School is quiet the police haven't been called in yet, and we'll nearly at the end of our second week, so things are looking good. Been camping to Wales once and heading up their in October - the site is right next to where the caravan is so it's very freaky. And just sort of getting around to doing some reading into India etc.
Keep safe.
Love Ruth and Ferg
